MORP DNR Server Rules

Ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse. Read this entire page before entering the city. Rules may be updated at any time, with announcements made via Discord.

1. General Rules

Respect all players and staff, both IC and OOC.
Harassment, hate speech, and discriminatory insults are strictly forbidden.
Cheats, mod menus, macros, or exploits of any kind are banned.
Each player may only hold accounts as permitted by policy. Ban evasion leads to a permanent block.
Use reasonable language and avoid spam in chat or voice.
Trading in-game assets for real money outside official channels is forbidden.

2. Basic Roleplay Rules

Value Your Life — treat your character's life as precious. Act like a real person who fears death.
Fear RP — when held at gunpoint or outnumbered, your character must show fear.
New Life Rule — after your character dies and respawns, you forget everything that led to that death.
Stay In Character — do not discuss OOC matters in the city. Use Discord for OOC business.

3. Major Prohibitions

Violation	Explanation
Metagaming	Using out-of-game information (streams, Discord, OOC chat) for in-character advantage.
Powergaming	Forcing unrealistic actions or denying opponents a chance to respond.
RDM	Killing another player without clear roleplay reason and interaction.
VDM	Running over players with a vehicle without roleplay justification.
Combat Logging	Leaving the server during active roleplay to avoid consequences.
Cop Baiting	Deliberately provoking police without a believable roleplay motive.
Safe Zone Abuse	Committing crimes in safe areas such as hospitals and police stations.

4. Criminal Rules

Every criminal act must have a clear roleplay motive.
Robberies and hostage situations must follow player-count limits set by admins.
Do not take hostages without giving roleplay opportunities to escape or negotiate.
Major criminal actions are not allowed when law enforcement online is below the minimum threshold.

5. Vehicle Rules

Drive realistically. Cliff jumping or arcade-style driving is forbidden.
Ground vehicles must not climb impossible terrain.
Service vehicles may only be used by members of the relevant agency.

6. Violation Penalties

Penalties are tiered according to severity and player history:

Warning — first-time minor offence.
Jail / kick — repeat or moderate offences.
Temporary ban — serious offences such as mass RDM or severe toxicity.
Permanent ban — cheating, ban evasion, doxxing, or real-world threats.

Appeals can be submitted through a dedicated channel on MORP Discord with supporting evidence.

7. Reporting Violations

Report violations through the Discord report channel, not in the city. Include the time of the incident, character names involved, and video or screenshot evidence. Do not respond to a violation with another violation.
